IT'S ALL IN HER HEAD.

Gabi, an aspiring fashion designer, observes her world in colors.  Scarlet, turquoise, and mauve coat a new world of controlled visions when, in an attempt to connect with her absent oneirologist father, she reads a book about lucid dreaming.  But she isn’t the only one with the power to manipulate dreams, and soon she becomes entangled in a battle between two factions in New York City.

The more she tries to sort out who will betray her and who she can trust, the deeper she falls into what is all an illusion.  Reality isn’t what it seems, there’s no distinguishment between sleeping and waking, and soon her own mind doesn’t belong to her anymore.

If she doesn’t separate what’s real and what’s a dream—if she doesn’t learn to control the tattoo unfurling on the back of her neck—she’ll go insane.  Her only clues are a door that seems to exist only in her brain and a dazed girl’s messy sketches; her only affirmation is the belief that her best friend isn’t the traitor he’s become.

HER MIND IS SOMEONE ELSE'S

As Gabi plays the double agent, her dreams only become more complex: layered colors, Ryan's eerie premonitions, and the key to discovering her father's whereabouts, buried beneath a cloud of subconsciousness.  And then there's still the matter of the person controlling her mind.

The harder Gabi fights against the voice in her head, the more she loses control.  Thoughts that aren't hers tugs her every way, from being a traitor to a fighter to the girlfriend of a boy she knows she can't trust.  And then she comes face to face with the person responsible for all of her struggles...and it's never who she'd expect.

It's a race to understand her brain, because if she doesn't win, she won't just die—she'll lose her very own mind.
